Tracking Tunnel
1500+ Units
Metal Stamping
Tracking tunnels are used as a method for monitoring small mammal abundance in New Zealand.
Often rangers are required to take a large amount in a single setup run. I was tasked with easing the transportation and assembly of the tracking tunnels whilst making the manufacturing process cheaper and more efficient.

Using metal stamping, we were able to develop a light-weight, flat pack design that the user could bend in the field.
Pairing the metal-stamped bracket with a sheet of corflute, all you need to do is bend the bracket, push out the tabs and wrap the corflute around the bracket. This new system creates a simple, quick process then the previous models.
